Eat Expired Food, Be Green: Real World Green

I watched and listened to this podcast. It talked about expired food. The dates printed on food which says best before or expires on, doesn't exactly mean that we can't eat the food after them. In fact, people waste 1400 calories of food every day by throwing out expired food and others. Also, according to a research, 40% of the food produced is wasted. The speaker insists we eat some expired food and be green to the environment.

Review of the novel: Chapter 1,2

I chose this book called "Big Girl" written by Danielle Steel.

It's about a girl named Victoria. She is a blond-haired, blue-eyed, chubby little girl; which is opposite of her parents who are slim and tall. Her father referred to her as Queen Victoria. While her family could eat anything they wanted, Victoria couldn't without gaining weight. As time goes by, she decides to get away from them and go to college in Chicago.

This week, I read the first two chapters. This novel starts with the main information about the characters and the settings which is like this: Jim Dawson and Christine meets in college and becomes a couple. Their first baby comes out to be a girl, which Jim secretly wanted a boy. He named the baby Victoria because she was beautiful as queen Victoria. Although when Victoria becomes older, she sees a picture of queen Victoria, she is disappointed. Their second baby also turns out to be a girl and they name her Grace. The father says that Grace is the perfect daughter that they always wanted and not Victoria. Victoria looks different from the other family members and feel a little left out.
