Jamie Oliver talks about the food matter in the U.S. Like said in the title, every child needs to be taught about food, he says. Children these days have almost no idea about food and what they are eating. However, they could be living 10 years younger than their parents. This is because the adults are making the food environment around them. The three main factors in the food environment are home, school, and main street. Lastly, in the presentation, he says, "I wish everyone to help create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and enpower people everywhere to fight obesity."

Reading the "Food Aphorisms"
Reading the "Food aphorisms" I came across a few quotes that I agreed with and I disagreed with.
One of the quotes that I liked was "Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside." I agree that we eat what we like. I understand that we should get a balanced diet and stay healthy. However, I don't think it's right when we eat food that it's just good for us, but we don't really enjoying eating. We should enjoy the meals, so I agree with this quote.
The quote that I thought was odd was "The first time you see something that you have never seen before, you almost always know right away if you should eat it or run away from it." I disagree because people always say that we should try all kinds of food and try new things. Whenever you go to a different country, you should try the food there. You may not like it, but at least you try. Therefore, I don't think you should decide on the food by just looking at the first sight.

Picnic at Yoyogi Park
2 weeks ago, my classmates and I went on a picnic during class! It was unfortunate that the weather wasn't the best but I had a great time! We each brought food from our house and I enjoyed eating because they were really tasty. Before we ate, we did a prayer in different ways. As Mr. Dias said, I realized that the Japanese one is the shortest and easy to say. Since it rained, we couldn't do much activities, although Mr. Dias showed us juggling. I was surprised because I can't do it. If I have a chance, I want to go to Yoyogi Park and do a picnic again!
